John Giles
As the owner of The Giles Group, John Giles III does consulting and training internationally on quick printing prepress issues. Recently Giles has focused his attention on conducting digital audits to help printing companies establish standards and procedures for accepting digital files easily and profitably.
Giles authored The Digital Original on CD: How to Handle a Customer's File Without Becoming a Service Bureau, now in its third printing. He also wrote Digital Dialog: How to Talk to Quick Printing Customers About Computer Files and The DTP Pricebook. Giles regularly contributes articles to Quick Printing magazine and TecPrint, the Australian trade publication.
As technology director of PrintImage International, he directs the Digital Imaging Applications Network, a special interest group of PII, and edits the DIAN newsletter. PrintImage International is the international association of quick printers, copy shops and small commercial printers.
Giles recently received the Industry Award of Distinction by the National Association of Quick Printers/PrintImage International. This elite group of educators, suppliers, trade press members and authors has consistently supported and contributed to the quick printing industry. Giles is one of few industry consultants to receive such a designation.
